Healthy Food - Healthy Life
The NBC's hit show trying to shape up with the help of their trainees. Also we require good or proper food to maintain ourselves fit and health.
"Health is wealth", according to this we have to take caring of our health. If you choose perfect diet, you will gain good health. Food works as fuel for our body. For the proper nutrition for our body, a person needs the food containing nutrients. Nutrition is the science of body which explains the metabolic and physiologic responses to diet.
Our daily food must be with the right proportion and types of food, having nutrients, which helps to make healthy diet.
Balance of food is important, because, no single food contains the whole nutrients, required for good health. We need the energy to live, therefore, we have to maintain the balance between carbohydrates, protein and fat, which helps to keep us healthy and fit. The little protein causes the problem to growth and other body functions and too much fat may create heart diseases. Vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber are also important and are found in fruit and vegetables. Vitamins like A, B, C, D and E has their own functions and has most importance, compared to others. Vitamin A is important for eyes; vitamin B cures from beriberi, vitamin C cures us from scurvy, D and E are important for skin diseases. Most of these vitamins are found in food like milk, vegetables, fruits, fish and from natural source, like sun rays.
The food must be safe from dust, micro-organisms, bacteria, viruses etc which may cause serious health problems. However these are now integral part of our life and most of them are harmless to us. Some of these are used in our daily life in making of bread, cheese and other bakery products. We can divide food into five groups: as potato, rice, pasta, bread as starchy food; fruits and vegetables; dairy products and milk; non dairy sources of proteins and meat, eggs, fish, beans etc; food containing high fat and sugar. We have to take it, consulting to the dietitian. Fiber food is helpful in digestion, so there must be one item of fiber food in our daily meal. The whole grains, fruits, nuts and unsaturated fats are good for heart. Cold water fish are always good instead of red meat and it contains omega-3 fatty acids. The grains like soy and beans have lower blood fats that are triglycerides. Soy is good for our health as well as for heart also and it works as an anti cancer.
We need proteins, lecithin, chorine and B vitamin, which found in eggs and in liver in high proportion having law fat. Oil is necessary for our health but in right proportion. The oil containing vitamin F and alpha- linolenic are working as feed stock for hormones, brain, skin, nerve and cell wall. It is true that the omega-3 is important but overdose of it may cause heart disease. Avoid high use of soy oil, ground nut oil, cotton seed oil, sunflower oil. Vegetarian food is always good and safe for health however, non-vegetarian food, containing vitamins, proteins in large proportion, is also important. However you have to take precaution that, the meat almost ever aged. Fruits give vitamins and fiber in high proportion without fat. Most of vitamins are found in fruits other than any source of food. So take fruits daily for good health. Except food, water is the most important drink, and our body contains it in large amount. Water plays very important role in digestion and avoids creation of toxic substances.
